This October I’m holding my own exhibition at the Irish Heritage Centre in Manchester, and Paddy Doherty is opening it.

I called the exhibition Behind Every Painting Is a Story because that’s how I think about my work. Each piece started with a person, a place or a memory, whether that’s a Northern Soul dancer, a jazz legend, a Manchester street or a family portrait. The short video above gives you a look at some of what I’ve been painting.

Opening With Paddy Doherty

I’m delighted that Paddy Doherty will officially open the exhibition on Saturday 24 October at 1.00pm. I painted his portrait earlier this year, and you can read about that here.
